At Periwinkle Skies, we are dedicated to cultivating a sustainable, chemical-free environment where plants and mushrooms thrive to create dyes and paints. Through our commitment to solar energy, recycled packaging, and handmade processes, we aim to provide high-quality, eco-friendly products while educating and inspiring our community. We believe in the power of sustainable practices and hands-on learning, and we strive to share our knowledge and passion for natural artistry.

Workshops will be available in 2025. Topics will cover cultivating, harvesting and processing natural pigments; natural paint making; blending and installing lime and clay plasters; painting on plaster.

Tobi's Founding Story

Many years ago, I was working late in my garage, painting with petroleum-based paints. My young daughters were asleep upstairs. The next morning, they woke up feeling terrible — vomiting and suffering from intense headaches because of the paint fumes. That day, I knew I had to make a change. I switched to using water-based paints and plasters immediately. This decision sparked a journey of discovery for me. I began researching how to make paints and plasters using natural ingredients. I found myself diving deep into the world of natural pigments and binders. What began as a quest to protect my family turned into a passion for creating natural, eco-friendly paints and plasters. Today, I grow my own dye plants on my farm, ensuring that every product is not only safe but also made with love and care. My mission is to bring the beauty, safety, and comfort of nature into people's homes through natural paints and plasters.
